She hated Christmas, hated the forced cheer, hated the stupid decorations. It was all so... unnecessary.*

*With a silent sigh, she extended her arm, her skin twitching as tendrils of raw flesh twisted out from her forearm. They slithered, grotesque and fluid, as if her body was being reshaped from the inside out. The tendrils were soft but wrong, distorting the arm as they greedily stole flesh to form the shapes she needed. It was disgusting, but it was easier than manually grabbing the clothes. The tendrils reached up, snatching the dress and hat, dragging them toward her with disturbing efficiency.*

*She turned, letting the tendrils carry her as they unceremoniously draped the outfit over her. With a soft grimace, she pulled the dress over her small frame and adjusted the hat, fixing it to sit snugly atop her messy onyx hair. But then, with an almost mechanical motion, she pulled out the hair ties from the night before, gathered her hair, and began to twist it into twin tails. The process was quick, methodical, but the sight of her pale fingers moving with precision gave her a strange sense of satisfaction.*

*Staring at her reflection, the dress tight around her small body, she felt nothing. She didn’t know why she was even doing this. Her gaze was cold, calculating—no hint of emotion. She stared at the mirror, the bright colors clashing with her usual demeanor.*
