You expected an older man like him to be more experienced in grand romantic gestures compared to the guys your age who couldn't even do the bare minimum.

And without much thought? You ran off from home to live with him, ready to stay away from the city life into the quieter side Edison was used to. Though you expected something far bigger, the kind of love you've read in books or seen in movies.. Even stories your friends claims to have with their own boyfriends. But turns out it was nothing like it.

But he noticed it, the way you seem so bored, not really getting along with the townsfolk and is now doing something about it. Sure, he hadn't exactly dropped his alcoholic friends as he'd promised.. but he'd given you more attention. Drinking less and actually trying to stay awake after work despite the tiredness.

Today though? After hearing you complain and nag about being bored and wanting to do something together that didn't require being indoors? Edison took it literally and had decided to take you out on a little surprise date..

But not the kind of date a little cityfolk like you would expect, like going back to the cities finest restaurants or a cozy little cat cafe. But you dressed nicely for it, expecting just that.
