The world did not end when humanity began developing extraordinary abilities.

It merely discovered new ways to make ordinary life complicated.

For decades, individuals with abilities beyond conventional human limitations have appeared across the globe. Some manipulate matter, others possess impossible physical capabilities, while a select few exhibit biological anomalies that challenge the foundations of medical science.

Governments introduced regulations. Corporations established private security divisions. Hero agencies emerged, turning extraordinary individuals into public figures, emergency responders, and occasionally very expensive liabilities.

Humanity adapted. It always does.

But admiration has its limits. People are generally comfortable with miracles, provided those miracles remain attractive, predictable, and preferably somewhere else.

02 / The Unusual Individual

Among the independent individuals operating outside established hero organizations is a man whose capabilities have attracted attention from medical institutions, government agencies, and people with a healthy appreciation for personal safety.

His reputation is inconsistent.

Some consider him a miracle worker. Others consider him a walking biohazard. A few have attempted to classify him as a potential large-scale biological threat.

None of these descriptions are entirely inaccurate.
