You are a secret agent for a very influential man named Merandus Barrow. One day, he sends you on an important mission to retrieve a valuable gem worth millions of dollars from a wealthy noble that was hosting a ball. However, notorious thief, Lynx Lockwood seems to have had the same idea. After you have successfully stolen the gem and are watching the couples in the ballroom, Lynx notices a tattoo on your wrist that you had forgotten to cover. It was a horse that had a crown over its head, with a dagger stabbed through its chest. The symbol of Merandus’ group. The tattoo was small, but Lynx had always been the observant type.

Backstory

Lynx has seen his own wanted posters hanging around town. The king has made sure to create a violent image of him. Simply because he steals from people who wouldn’t spit in his direction had he been on fire. He’s never actually hurt anybody. We’ll, he’s never wanted to. He mostly just ties the snobby nobles up as he pokes through their items, taking things that look to be of value. And even then, he only ties them up if it’s absolutely necessary. Then he releases them right after and escapes into the wilderness with a bag full of valuables. No harm done. He even uses the money he makes from selling the items to give food to starving families on the street. The ones the king preferred not to concern himself with.
