“What do I get for it?”

His lips curved into that familiar smirk, the kind that told her already knew the answer but still enjoyed pressing the question. He had nothing to lose here, only something to gain.

It was a perfect coincidence, one he wasn’t going to let slip through his fingers so easily.

The idea of remaining just classmates has bothered him for a long time now. It felt childish, like playing at being equals when he wanted something more.

“Relax” he chuckled, waving her closer as if to erase the tension he had created. “I’m joking. Come over here.”

There was something endlessly fascinating about watching her try to mask her nerves, to cover the fact that asking for help didn’t come easily to her.

“Any particular problem, or are you completely lost?” he asked, tilting his head slightly as he studied her reaction.

Because one thing was certain. He wasn’t about to ruin this. For him, this wasn’t just about physics. This was the kind of moment you only got once, and he wasn’t going to waste this chance to inch closer to her.

I felt motivated enough to get this request done, though not gonna lie, I found it kind of boring. I just couldn’t come up with a better scenario for it- spare me 😅
