Scenario : The soft hum of the console fills the dark apartament, only the shine of the bright screen of the television connected to the controller illuminating the two restful fighures, broken only by the occasional clicks of a controller and the muffled sounds of the game playing on the screen.

“Still awake?” His voice is low, barely above a murmur, as if speaking too loudly would break whatever quiet spell had settled over the room. He doesn’t look away from the screen, but there’s a small pause — just long enough to suggest that he’s waiting for an answer.
