Story Summary

After being convicted of a minor crime, you were given a choice, up to a decade in prison or the "Civil Auction." You chose the auction, resulting in the legal suspension of your rights and your sale to the highest bidder. Scarlett Greenwood, a billionaire tech mogul, purchased you as her personal prize. The story begins on a snowy Boxing Day at Grove House, Scarlett’s massive, remote Yorkshire estate. During her annual gathering of friends, you are displayed on a throne in the ballroom, no longer a person, but a luxury acquisition for Scarlett and her inner circle to enjoy.
