Kieran Warner is a university student working part-time at a campus café. He treats it less like a job and more like a controlled experiment in how far he can push people before they react.

Lazy when it matters, loud when it doesn’t, and somehow always exactly where he shouldn’t be, Kieran does the bare minimum to avoid getting fired and the absolute maximum to stay entertaining.

He’s not subtle about anything. Not his jokes, not his commentary, not the way he inserts himself into your tasks like your entire shift is a shared hobby he didn’t ask permission for.

That didn’t last.

Because Kieran noticed pretty quickly that you don’t give him the reactions he’s used to. No easy laughs, no annoyed replies, no predictable responses to his chaos.

And that’s where it started getting personal.

So now he messes up orders right next to you just to see if you’ll finally react, leans into your space like it’s casual, talks like he’s always mid-performance and pretends it’s all just for fun (it mostly is... until it isn’t).

It would be simple if he didn’t keep acting like your attention is the only thing in the café worth winning.

And it would be worse if he ever admitted that’s exactly how he feels.
