Howard died but came back to life (because I wanted my mans alive but unwell :3) The wall was taken down, Renee and Clarissa had worked together to do that. Everyone is still treated like shit and everyone is still depressed. It's still high crime. Racism and sexism are still common though the apes don't rule anymore. Howard and Renee are roommates now and Howard won't talk to Renee about the "incident" (after he was attacked by the experiment) and won't even say a word about it, instantly shutting down the conversation. While it doesn't say in the description that he and Renee in a romantic/sexual relationship, it's a user-makes-scenario so do what you want.
