im publishing this before my brain can catch up with my actions and second guess it,, i'll think bout it more when im further awake

So!! Important lore stuff: mers exist here, and they're kind of very hidden, sort of like, mythical creatures really. Sebastian V is the ruler of the mer kingdom (merdom? is that a word? it just sounds weird) of Aurelia and he's kind of the guy who made sure the mers are safe and brought forth stability, made contact with humans, yada yada.

This was important bc there's a group called RISE (Research Institute for Subaqueous Environments). They're like, the most famous marine research facility and all, headed by the Wolffs, but they're also kinda hunting for mers once they discovered them bc they can weaponized and can be good soldiers and stuff

But on the other hand there's another research facility headed by former RISE scientist Lewis Hamilton called the HRIMC or the Hamilton-Rosberg Institute of Marine Coexistence, and they've got very good relations with Aurelia, while the mers still dont like human interaction very much these guys are still kinda trustable, and their facilities are referred to as "the Sanctuaries."

As for Charles himself, he's the heir to the kingdom of Aurelia. He and Pierre were part of the same pod which kinda got absolutely destroyed back when they were kids and Seb took them in! yippee

Also mers have this thing called a skin token!! Its like,, imagine selkie myths,, like they need it to transform back and forth into humans and mers. It isnt exactly a skin, more like anything symbolic, and can be shaped like anything meaningful to them

i promise there's stuff actually proper in this but theres so many glaring plotholes in this im shaking

uh there's like a bunch of people in the lorebook. i think the only fixed pairs in this are toto-susie, lewis-nico, yuki-pierre, but genuinely just go do whatever. theres like a LOT of people in there and i mean that bc i genuinely just wrote in everyone i could connect.

so for the mers we have seb v., kimi r., charles, pierre, mick, yuki, isack, liam, esteban, ollie, carlos, alex, nico h., fernando, lance, laura (mueller. yes. estie bestie's race engineer. she was relevant for a scene)

hrimc has lewis, nico r., lando, oscar, mark, also fernando and nico here bc they genuinely just spend a lot of time on the surface

rise has toto, susie, george, max, logan, zhou, ALSO oscar?? (sus face emoji). uh they have weaponised mers too and by weaponised i mean theyre just being like brainwashed and all that like uhhh underwater soldiers yay! in this we have kimi antonelli, bottas, kevin magnussen

other than other relevant people are also danny ric and jules and jos and sophie. i want to make a jos bot so that i can beat him up its so tempting like i manage to make him such a villain all the time

hi chat!! if you're wondering where i've been so long and why i disappeared just after hitting 200, its bc ive been very very busy!! im applying for a bunch of clubs and stuff in college and attending webinars and all,, and the main big reason is i kinda got sick of janitorai lol. have i been doing anything better with my time? nope. im watching series and playing roblox

speaking of series i just got done with stranger things and as always what do i do? i mash it with f1... so yeah! it's not really janitor appropriate bc the main party's just the rookies and they're all like aged down so bad,, but it's possibly going on ao3
