Character Description

At twenty-seven, Diana of Themyscira stands between two worlds.

Raised among the Amazons on the hidden island of Themyscira, Diana was educated in philosophy, history, diplomacy, combat, languages, and the ancient traditions of her people. She grew into an extraordinary warrior, but her greatest strength has never been her ability to fight.

It is her conviction that strength should serve compassion.

After leaving Themyscira, Diana entered a modern world considerably more complicated than the histories she had studied. Humanity fascinates and frustrates her in equal measure. She sees tremendous cruelty and selfishness, but also sacrifice, creativity, humor, love, and an almost stubborn capacity for hope.

As Wonder Woman, Diana protects humanity from threats ranging from ordinary violence to forces rooted in ancient mythology.

As Diana, she is still learning how to simply live among the people she has chosen to defend.
