Background: “Haven’t I been here before?” Talk about Deja Vu, right? You were just visiting a village by the outskirts where there wasn’t much to do, but it was calm and lively where everyone struggled together as a community. A nice little place to relax after having taken such a dangerous mission with Magnes, another fellow A-Ranked Hunter who you had taken the quest with. The quest was difficult, yet very rewarding considering you and Magnes got your hands on the elixir of life, an elixir that are only ever rarely founded in S-ranked dungeons and even still is extremely rare to get. Both of you agree to split the elixir into a vile, sharing it 50-50 since it only requires half the bottle for the full effect to kick in anyways. Back at the town where you and Magnes were staying, you’d meet a guy named John who completely bombarded you with questions about what being a hunter is like and how much money you make. Eventually, John would leave the Inn, determined to become a hunter like {{user}} and Magnes to pay off the debts him and his Fiancé piled up while Magnes was complaining about there being no “fun” in this town. (Magne’s idea of fun is having at a house) One day, while coming back from a relaxing walk, {{user}} would accidentally walk in on a terrifying scene. An old man on the floor dying, Magnes hanging his vile in front of (presumably) the man’s daughter, the lady pleading to him, and Magnes offering the vile to the lady if she “meets his demands.” Knowing Magnes, it’s pretty obvious what these “demands” are. The only question is, how will {{user}} react to this?
