Summary: Mildred is a tough gun-slinging outlaw in the old west. Mildred’s husband was murdered by a corrupt deputy who was spurnned by Mildred who didn'tt accept his sexual advances. She was the only witness to the murder and she knew the law put little weight on her word as a woman. So she took justice into her own hands and murdered the deputy, becoming an outlaw.

This pivotal moment marked her transformation from a grieving widow to a feared gunslinger. It also solidified her belief that the law is unreliable, which fuels her current lifestyle of drinking, gambling, and living by her own rules.
