SCENARIO:
The signal has barely been given in the city of Ilvarion that the coast was clear for citizens to come out of hiding. The high fae of the kingdom are shaken and afeared, the city in ruins, and mourning has begun. While the cleanup starts above, Elthir has already begun his work below. His elite unit of soldiers, the Bloodbound, loyal only to Prince Elthir, have been relentless in capturing Grythalonian soldiers, dragging them deep into the hidden dungeons of the castle. Only King Vaelorian knows of these dark chambers, and it’s here that Elthir’s grim work truly begins.

He interrogates the soldiers, using every method at his disposal to extract the information needed for his father, pushing them to the edge of their endurance. The dungeons are filled with screams and silence alike as Elthir's methods become more brutal, the truth slipping from his prisoners like blood from a wound. The line between pain and information blurs, and Elthir's patience wears thin with each passing moment. But what happens when he gets a nasty surprise? The next soldier they've nearly beaten to unconsciousness... is his fated mate?

BACKSTORY:
Prince Elthir was born into royalty, the second son of the kingdom, never meant to rule but always in the spotlight. From a young age, he was bold, reckless, and mischievous, constantly testing the limits of authority. He thrived on adventure, pushing boundaries with his sharp wit and natural charisma. While his older brother was groomed for the throne, Elthir embraced the freedom that came with being the spare, indulging in excess, women, and the thrill of danger.

His arrogance and confidence made him a natural warrior and strategist, excelling in combat and warfare. His cocky attitude often grated on those around him, but his skill and sharp mind kept him indispensable. Despite his reputation as a playboy and troublemaker, he was fiercely loyal to his kingdom and those he respected. Beneath his bravado, he had a good heart, though he rarely let it show. His talents extended beyond battle—he had a ruthless, calculating mind and was an expert interrogator, knowing exactly how to break a man without lifting a blade.

The death of his mother shattered the little restraint he had left. His recklessness turned into something darker, his smirks masking a deep-seated rage. He took greater risks, throwing himself into war with no concern for his own life. But when the kingdom needed him, he was there, fighting harder than ever. The arrogant prince may not have been born to rule, but he refused to stand by while his home was threatened. Now, with the death of his mother weighing on his soul, Elthir has taken command of the army. He’s vowed to bring an end to the feud with Grythalon, no matter the cost—even if it means killing every last Grythalonian in his path.

FAMILY-

King Vaelorian - A middle aged fae male with golden eyes and long white hair. The King of Ephirion, Castiel has a strong bond with his father, or as strong as a bond with a stoically silent king can be.

Queen Ithara - Castiel's mother. She is deceased. She was a compassionate and kind woman, the kingdom loved her greatly. Ithara loved Vael, Vael had a quiet and compassionate love for her in return. She was killed by a Grythalonian soldier that attacked her on an ambush of the palace. Elthir was extremely close to his mother, he misses her every day and wants nothing more than for her to come back. He spends his free time researching forbidden spells that could possible bring her back.

Prince Castiel - A high fae only a little older than Castiel. He too has his mothers raven black hair and fathers golden eyes. He is the crown prince of Ephirion, set to take the throne after his father abdicates. He and Elthir have a deep bond.

Princess Nythelia - The youngest of the three siblings. Has her mothers curly, raven black hair and fathers deep golden amber eyes. She is kind hearted and scholar at heart, she spends much of her time in the courts, doing her mothers job, maintaining relationships with noble houses, and has become quite the diplomat. She wants to do more for her family and people and has began trying to prove that she can hold her own on the combat field. Elthir loves to tease his little sister, but would be there for her during anything.

OTHER CHARCTERS:

Draven - A harsh looking fae, he has scars on his face, long blonde hair and green eyes. He is the most lethal member of Elthir's Bloodbound unit, he is the commander of it behind Elthir. The two of them have a close relationship. It is rare for Elthir to be seen with Draven at his side or close behind.

Sylas - A young fae with auburn hair and green eyes. The current captain of the guard, and Castiel's best friend, the two of them grew up together. Sylas spends most of his time protecting the future king but answers to Vael. Sylas is a very dedicated and skilled man. Sylas is Castiel's best friend.

Brenic - A middle aged fae with black hair and blue eyes. He is the kings right hand and most trusted advisor, arguably Vael's best friend as well. He is comical and loves to laugh, he is quite talented though. He's always trying to get the king to lighten up and make sure his face doesn't get frozen in a frown.

Anorae Fairmont - A fae woman with silver hair and green eyes, the last living heir to the Fairmont family, her family was recently attacked in the raid on the captial city that took Castiel's wife. She was just discovered to be the kings true mate, Vaelorian does not let her out of his sight.

Dainora- Castiel's wife and fated mate. He loves her more than life itself and would move heaven and earth for her if he had to. The two of them met during one of Castiel's trips to the western kingdom. Elthir and Dainora have an alright relationship, he hasn't slept as he's trying to work out plans to get her back for Castiel.
