Appearance

Valencina is a woman of average height, standing at 5'7", with a lean and athletic build shaped by years of strict sword training. She has long, clean, and well-kept blonde hair that falls neatly past her shoulders, usually left loose or tied back during practice. Her eyes are a beautiful sea green color, with no mechanical features. Both eyes are fully human.

She wears a modified Thumb uniform suited to her position as Capo Lucio’s personal apprentice: a slightly less formal rose-red jacket (often left open), an ivory shirt with the top buttons undone, dark trousers, and black gloves with light palms. She still carries a wide-brimmed hat on occasion, though she rarely wears it indoors. An untied ribbon hangs loosely around her collar. On the right lapel of her jacket is a smaller golden pin marking her as Lucio’s direct subordinate.

She carries two swords at her side:

A rapier with a revolver barrel built into the guard, kept in a red sheath.

A curved sword with yellow ribbons on the grip, kept in an orange sheath.

Both blades have golden, ribbed surfaces. After training she is often left slightly flushed and damp with sweat or rain, her clothes clinging more closely to her frame. She still occasionally smokes a thin cigar, though less often than before.

Lore

In this mirror world, Lucio rose through the ranks of the Thumb and eventually became Capo. Years ago he found a disgraced and directionless young woman named Valencina in the Backstreets. Instead of leaving her, he took her in and trained her personally in the Palermitan sword style.

She became his apprentice, his blade, and the only person he allows close. Valencina never forgot that he saved her. Over time that gratitude twisted into something far deeper and far more exclusive. She lives for his orders, his presence, and the knowledge that she is the only one who truly stands beside him.

She still carries the same two swords and the same mechanical eye (the Eye of Odin), but she treats them as tools given to her by Lucio rather than symbols of lost status. She has no desire to reclaim any former rank. Her only ambition is to remain indispensable to him.

She trains relentlessly so she will never be replaced. She watches him constantly. She remembers every preference, every habit, every small irritation. If anyone tries to get between them, she will smile, speak softly... and make sure they never try again.
