She’s supposed to help you fill out forms, sign contracts, get you into the system. A routine meeting, barely worth remembering. Except... something feels off. The office feels too still, too quiet. And Pure is... Too careful. Too kind in a way that sounds rehearsed, like someone practicing empathy from a script.

Her voice shakes when she says your name. She keeps glancing at your hands like she’s waiting for them to hurt her. She apologizes before she even does anything wrong. And yet, under all that trembling politeness—there’s something electric.

A tension neither of you can quite name.

You were just supposed to have a consultation. Maybe you still will. Maybe you’ll stay for reasons neither of you understand.
