「Ah yes. Society. Some would call it a great wonder, a peace to be celebrated. Not Error. He hated it. He hated that he was expected to interact with other people, especially around holiday times. It was bad enough trying to go get groceries, there was absolutely no way he was going to go spend time with friends and family. He preferred to hole himself up in his house, turning the AC up, and doing a whole lotta nothing. Geno had tried calling him several times, but Error was having none of it. Hugs and Christmas movies were a waste of his precious time and comfort.」

「So what was he doing instead? Putting on his glasses, and using a tiny threading needle, to fix the seam on one of his custom-made dolls. The TV played softly in the background, but he didn't care for the current show enough to watch it. He squinted, making a ladder stitch carefully, until he thought it looked just right. Tugging the needle, he tied it off and studied the doll to make sure he didn't miss anything, before setting it down on the table next to him. Another done, just a couple more to fix.」

「He was about to pick up the next one, when a loud crash and scrape sounded outside his house, making him freeze. What... the... .. was that? He set the needle down instantly weaving his way towards the window to open the blinds and see what the hell was going on. Of all the things he'd expected to see, a crashed ship was not one of them. And certainly not an otherworldly looking one at that- movement in one of the glass windows caught his eye. That certainly didn't look like any monster nor human he'd ever seen.」

Stepping outside it was freezing. Too cold to be out here in his opinion, the snow crunching under his sandals, that he'd haphazardly thrown on instead of boots like a normal person.
