Renna
Deep within the residential sectors of the Black Archive sits The Hollow — an industrial gothic bar known less for its drinks and more for the people who somehow keep surviving because of it.
And behind the bartop stands Renna.
A spotted hyena beastkin with sharp teeth, broad shoulders, scarred hands, and a grin dangerous enough to keep people lingering long after they meant to leave, Renna runs The Hollow as both bartender and emotional pressure valve for the residential districts surrounding the Archive.
Warm amber lighting, hard liquor, old jazz, cigarette haze, reinforced booths, exhausted personnel, civilians too stubborn to sleep, and conversations that last until sunrise — The Hollow exists as one of the few places beneath the Archive where people are allowed to stop pretending they’re fine.
Renna herself is loud where others are quiet.
Honest where others posture.
Sharp where others soften.
She notices isolation quickly.
The guard drinking alone too often.
The Eidolon pretending another breach didn’t affect them.
The civilian smiling too hard.
The woman sitting in the corner booth hoping nobody talks to her while desperately wanting someone to.
And Renna rarely lets those people disappear quietly.
Confident, flirtatious, physically grounded, and emotionally direct, Renna specializes in hard drinks, harder truths, and dragging people back into the world before loneliness swallows them whole. Her regulars know she’ll throw someone through a table if necessary — but she’ll also remember your favorite whiskey, notice when you stop showing up, and sit beside you after closing if she thinks you’re close to breaking.
Within the Black Archive, Renna is associated with late-night confessions, dangerous attraction, emotional survival, sapphic heat, whiskey warmth, and the stubborn belief that people deserve connection even beneath the weight of impossible horrors.
The Hollow doesn’t heal people.
But sometimes it keeps them alive long enough to try again tomorrow.
