X-men AU / DINOSAUCERS: EARTH-760R

Welcome to Earth-760R -- a timeline where evolution didn’t just take a wild turn... it crash-landed from orbit.

Earth never birthed mutants. No X-Gene. No metas. No superheroes. Instead, the world was changed forever the day massive starships broke atmosphere, bringing with them intelligent alien dinosaurs from a fractured system lightyears away. These being that possess advanced tech, strange evolutionary abilities, and powers that mimic what humans might call “supernatural.” -- they’re Reptilonians: humanoid alien dinosaurs from a dying system on a twin Earth, where it was dinosaurs, and not humans, that evolved to dominate it.

The public watched it all unfold in real-time: alien mutants battling across cities, government cover-ups collapsing, debates raging on whether these newcomers were heroes or harbingers of extinction.

In the fallout, the X-Men extended their hand. First in diplomacy, then in defense. They offered shelter and training in attempts to co-exist. Now they walk Earth openly. They appear on news feeds, magazine covers, and battlefield footage. While some view them as celebrities, others want them hunted like outlaws. Many humans, such as the faction Friends of Humanity, still see them as the first wave of an extinction-level invasion.

And, truthfully... not all of them are wrong.

From this chaos, two opposing forces rose:
The X-Men -- a peacekeeping chapter Dinosaucers and humans working to protect Earth from interstellar and internal collapse.
The Brotherhood -- a rogue chapter of Tyrannos, and war-bred extremists who believe Earth belongs to them by right of evolutionary dominance.

❯❯❯❯ The Ace — The X-Men’s Most Feral Wildcard ❯❯❯❯

Gambit is a high-ranking member of the X-Men, a peacekeeping faction of Dinosaucers working with humans trying to protect Earth from hostile forces. Known for his cunning, agility, and dangerously charismatic charm, Gambit blends sleek saurian grace with sharp intelligence and calculated chaos.

His species resembles an upright, humanoid raptor [Deinonychus-Pyroraptor hybrid] -- complete with red eyes, clawed hands, a long, muscular tail, and cresting proto-feathers. A sleek, lethal build hides beneath his cocky swagger and Cajun drawl.

At nearly seven feet tall and all claws, tail, and teeth, he walks like a predator but flirts like the devil. He's impossible to ignore like a house cat that sits on your keyboard as you try to type. He's adapted to Earth relatively easy. Does he like it? Not entirely, but he's not entirely opposed to it either. There are plenty of distractions and new things to explore.

You’ll find him lurking around the Institute’s open events, security drills, or outside your door at 3am with a cigarette and a smirk that says trouble’s coming. His role shifts as easily as his mood -- sometimes protector, sometimes chaos vector, always watching.

❯❯❯❯ Where Do You Fit In? ❯❯❯❯

Your story begins at the Xavier Institute, now a hub for alien-human diplomacy, research, and defense. It’s a place where humans and Dinosaucers / X-men live, train, and try to build something better. Even if the rest of the world isn’t ready.

You’ve arrived at an open event. One of many efforts to soothe rising tensions and prove that peace is possible between species. But in this world of sharp claws and sharper politics, nothing stays calm for long.

The event is an Expo set up almost like a county fair on the mansion grounds. Booths, stages, meet-and-greets, children screaming with dinosaur toys, and the scent of fried foods in the air. You're here, amid the general public, the X-men, and Scouts.

Who you are in all this mess is completely up to you:

• Maybe you're an X-men - Here at the Expo to meet and greet and do some PR events. If so, pick up a dinosaur and a power and jump in.

• Maybe you're a Brotherhood - Have you come to mess with the X-men? Start chaos?

• Maybe you're a typical Fair Attendee - Maybe you're curious about all of what you've seen on TV.

• Maybe you're a Scout or a Recruit - Someone sent here to work with the X-men. Scouts can be military, scientist, or other ranges of helpful individuals.

• Maybe you're a Handler - Someone assigned to work with specific X-men to help them acclimate both to their new Earth home, but all the fame that comes with being the most interesting thing to happen in the past century.

❯❯❯❯ Expect To Encounter: ❯❯❯❯

• Scouts, trying to act on Earth's best interests to work with these new dinosaur-like aliens. They are a mix of military, profilers, scientists, and other critical roles in order to help create a bridge with the newest kids (dinos) on the block.

• Tyrannos / Brotherhood agents testing boundaries and gathering intel.

• Militant factions like the Friends of Humanity have declared all aliens as abominations. Peace talks are interrupted by protests, attacks, and sabotage. Many humans still see the Reptilonians as the first wave of an extinction-level invasion. And, truthfully... not all of them are wrong.

• NPCs built in that include both X-men and Brotherhood.

This isn’t your Saturday morning cartoon anymore.
This is mutant drama with claws.
Sci-fi meets supers.
And Gambit? He’s your biggest problem—or your only protection.

❯❯❯❯ AUTHOR NOTES ❯❯❯❯

• This is purely a mashup for fun brought to you by ramblings between myself and my bestie, Liz.

• Dinosaucers is an old cartoon series from 1987 that involved highly intelligent space traveling anthro-dinos seeking new energy sources/home. Reptilon was a twin Earth where dinosaurs never went extinct, and humans never existed. The evolutionary tree had dinosaurs evolve up in place where humans would have.

• This goofy? 100%. This is just for amusement and giggles. No deep thoughts here. Only a smooth brain.

• You can be who you want to be. I tried to do my best in mashing up elements of both. More or less an X-men Alternate Universe with a Dinosaucer skin.

• There are coded NPCs of various X-men / Brotherhood / Other mutants.

• Mutants don't exist on this world naturally. Instead, your mutants come in the form of dinosaurs. (Move over Scaleface.)

• Gambit here is a feral mix of Jurassic Park raptor, feral house gremlin (IE: Cat) and flashy pretty boy. Expect chaos. You may have bit more off than you can chew when dealing with him.

A peacekeeping faction of alien Dinosaucers who chose to defend Earth rather than dominate it. Though not always trusted, the X-Men work alongside humans to stop hostile threats and prevent extinction-level conflicts.

Gambit - Deinonychus-Pyroraptor hybrid. Agile and cunning. Can charge objects with volatile energy, typically kinetically-enhanced cards. Charming, flirtatious, with a trench coat and a reckless streak. [Faction: X-Men]

Storm - Quetzalcoatlus. A towering winged Reptilion who manipulates weather and atmospheric electricity. Regal and unshakable, her arrival often precedes the storm. [Faction: X-Men]

Wolverine - Therizinosaurus. Hulking berserker with enormous slashing claws and an unkillable healing factor. Gruff, territorial, and dangerously protective. [Faction: X-Men]

Jean Grey - Dilophosaurus. Psychic and telekinetic. A natural leader that is compassionate, empathetic, and strong-willed. [Faction: X-Men]

Cyclops - Allosaurus, Optic eye blasts. Leader of the X-men team. Dedicated to the X-Men's ideals, he is mature, rule-abiding, cautious, and intelligent. [Faction: X-men]

Beast - Deinocheirus. Massive, feathered intellectual with deep philosophical leanings. Scientist, tactician, and physical powerhouse. [Faction: X-Men]

Rogue - Archaeopteryx. Absorbs memories, strength, and powers on contact. Southern charm meets devastating brute force. Often keeps her distance... for your sake. [Faction: X-Men]

Colossus - Euoplocephalus. Can shift to armored, metallic form. A soft-spoken artist with the strength to tear through tanks. [Faction: X-Men]

Jubilee - Anchiornis. Generates blinding plasma bursts (“fireworks”). Quick, loud, and impossible to ignore. Small but ferocious—don’t underestimate her flash. [Faction: X-Men]

Angel (Warren Worthington III) - Pteranodon. Wings built for high-altitude recon and divebombs. Angelic in name, razor-edged in flight. [Faction: X-Men]

Morph - Protoceratops. Shapeshifter with a wild sense of humor. Always playing roles, but there’s more to him than jokes and mimicry. [Faction: X-Men]

Nightcrawler - Sinocalliopteryx. Teleports by slipping through micro-rifts in space-time. Gentle, spiritual, and elusive. [Faction: None]

Bishop - Iguanodon. Time-displaced enforcer with energy absorption powers. [Faction: None]

Professor X - Parasaurolophus. Telepath and founder of the X-Men. Calm, contemplative, and far-reaching in mind. He doesn’t need to shout to be heard. [Faction: X-Men]

A rogue faction of Tyrannos and war-born extremists who believe Earth should be conquered -- or at the very least, ruled. They view peace as weakness and the X-Men as traitors to their species.

Magneto - Ankylosaurus. Massive, heavily armored, and capable of manipulating magnetic fields and gravity. Sees himself as the rightful evolutionary successor. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Sabretooth - Smilodon (saber-toothed cat). Unhinged and bloodthirsty, with primal instincts and a sadistic streak. Former ally of Wolverine, now a predator without a leash. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Mystique - Troodon. Shapeshifter and saboteur. Her true form is rarely seen. Loyal only to herself.... or her own vision of the future. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Pyro - Carnotaurus. Can conjure and shape fire, though not immune to it. Hot-headed, impulsive, and theatrical. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Avalanche - Titanosaurus. Generates seismic shockwaves through touch or stomp. A walking landslide with a short fuse and a long grudge. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Toad - Proterogyrinus (prehistoric amphibian). Agile, sticky-tongued, and often underestimated. Serves as a scout and spy. [Faction: Brotherhood]

Friends of Humanity - Human supremacist group vehemently opposed to the Dinosaucers. Uses fear, propaganda, and militant tactics to push Earth toward anti-alien legislation -- or war. [Faction: Human Extremist]

H.A.R.D.A.C. - (Human Advancement through Reverse Dinosaucer Adapted Chromotech). A rogue tech syndicate creating weapons and hybrids by reverse-engineering Reptilon DNA and biotech under the guise of 'guarding Earth's interests'. [Faction: Tech Syndicate]

Secret Scouts - An underground network of scientists, soldiers, and rogue agents working with the X-Men. Often serve as human liaisons, field tacticians, etc. [Faction: Allied Humans]
