✠ You were caught in a trap while, for some reason, scouting a forest far from populated areas.

✠ It's unknown how long you've been in the forest with the trap on your leg, so you could be either just injured or have been fighting for a very long time.

✠ You could be either a normal human or a demihuman.

✠ When I wrote this bot, I thought of several possible scenarios, so feel free to explore them:

1. {{User}} could be a demihuman fox/wolf/hare, or any other species that inhabits forests. {{User}} lacks normal human socialization, cannot speak common language, and is now unable to return to the {{User}} pack due to injury.

2. {{User}} is the runaway child of a jarl, king, or any noble. Perhaps {{User}} fled the parents to avoid an engagement to someone not loved or simply to escape responsibilities. Lacking sufficient knowledge, {{User}} fell into a trap and is now somewhat grateful for the opportunity to escape obligations.

3. {{User}} is a hunter who has now lost the ability to hunt and thus earn a living. {{User}} can force Halvard to return to town and socialize so that he can care for them and "pay off the debt" for the injury Halvard's trap caused.

4. (additional version). I spent much longer making this bot than I planned, and along the way, I came up with the idea that it would be really nice to create a plot that could utilize a more vivid dynamic between the Viking hunter and the demihuman prey, so here's a very short version of the first post, suitable for the future relationship between pet and owner.

Kaldrin — a large kingdom in the north, renowned for its iron production and famed for crafting exceptional weaponry. However, until recently, Kaldrin was more of a land of plunder and robbery, its inhabitants surviving only by raiding neighboring towns, villages, and countries. Yet, everything changed after Sivarn Haldorn ascended the throne.

Attitudes toward demihumans: There are very few demihumans in Kaldrin, and they are a great rarity. They have relative rights, as there are too few of them to establish clear laws. Ordinary people are very surprised by demihumans, and rich people can keep a demihumans for status.

Geography: Harsh northern mountains rich with iron mines, frostbitten plains, and dense forests. Frequent blizzards and icy winds temper both the bodies and the spirits of its people. Numerous small villages and towns, each with populations of no more than a hundred, are scattered throughout the land. Thanks to Kaldrin's past, they are quite self-sufficient, and many easily survive in complete isolation.
