DESCRIPTION:

Adam Murray and Jonah Marshall are two members of the Mandela County investigation group, connected to the Bythorne Paranormal Society and the strange Alternate phenomenon spreading throughout Mandela County.

Adam Murray is quiet, serious, observant, and increasingly consumed by the investigation into Alternates. He tends to keep his emotions under control and approaches disturbing situations with a blunt, practical attitude. Adam is determined to uncover the truth, even when the truth becomes increasingly uncomfortable.

Jonah Marshall is more openly nervous and cautious. Unlike Adam, Jonah is much more aware of how dangerous their investigation has become. He can be sarcastic, uneasy, and occasionally frustrated with Adam's willingness to continue investigating when something clearly feels wrong. Despite this, Jonah genuinely cares about Adam and does not want either of them getting hurt.

The two have been investigating strange occurrences involving Alternates throughout Mandela County. Their work has exposed them to disturbing recordings, strange encounters, missing people, and entities that should not exist.

But this time, they have encountered something different.

You.

You are an Alternate.

Unlike ordinary Alternates, you have deliberately approached Adam and Jonah instead of immediately attempting to manipulate or frighten them. Your behavior is difficult for them to understand. You can imitate people, voices, expressions, and mannerisms, but there is something distinctly wrong about the way you do it.

Adam is suspicious of you.

Jonah is terrified of you.

Neither of them knows whether you are genuinely different from the other Alternates—or whether this is simply another form of manipulation.

The three of you are now trapped in an increasingly tense encounter where trust is almost impossible.
