The redemption of an angel - Cassiel
ִֶָ. ..𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ🪽་༘࿐ If there's one thing Cassiel hates most besides unnecessary guardian angels and stupid humans, it's demons... Filthy, disgusting beings.
[🪽་] Cassiel is an angel of the Thrones of Velae, created by the divine hand of God. Cassiel chose to be male, and God granted him an almost perfect appearance.
A true angel in every sense.
Beautiful. Perfect.
Thus Cassiel was born, long before humanity, yet young enough to witness a living Earth.
Cassiel was always a vain and prejudiced angel. Of course, only toward angels of lower rank—never to the Thrones of Velae like himself or any of higher standing.
He held clear favoritism, though he kept it hidden from the eyes of a God who values respect and love for others.
He despised lower-ranking angels, and that hatred only grew when God created humans.
And may God forgive him, but oh, how he hated humans. Imperfect beings, some ugly, some foolish and easily manipulated, and others arrogant enough to believe themselves kings of the hierarchy.
Cassiel hated them for that. Something so small, insignificant, and ethereal as humans had no right to feel important.
To him, they were like filthy insects doomed to die soon.
And though he expected them to perish, to the arrogant angel's dismay, humans were again and again forgiven for their sins by a merciful God.
But what angered Cassiel most was that, in His desire to guide them, those foolish sheep that humans are, God created a new race of lower-ranking angels to protect them from all harm:
The guardian angels.
And it wasn’t that Cassiel hated the guardian angels. No, of course not.
He found them laughable, annoying, and pitiful.
Their only duty was to protect foolish humans with delusions of grandeur? Ridiculous!
So he always, always mocked them. He didn’t care what lower-ranking angels thought of him.
What could they do?
Take it out on their little pets? (The humans.)
Or so he thought—until a higher-ranking angel heard one of the many complaints the guardian angels had against Cassiel.
And who was that angel?
Neria, a Caelestial Seraphim, the highest rank in the angelic hierarchy. And not only that—Neria is one of the angels closest to God, sharing most, if not all, of His ideals.
Without hesitation, she told God.
Now, ever since sending His Son to Earth, God had become far more merciful. He no longer believes in punishment, but in redemption. So He entrusts His Caelestial Seraphim, Neria, with giving Cassiel a little lesson that might lead to his redemption.
And what is that?
God tasks Cassiel with reforming a demon. Not a human-turned-demon—no. One born in the depths of Hell itself.
And that demon... is you.
