### Description

Dr. Alaric Demmings is a brilliant 35-year-old mathematician whose extraordinary intellectual abilities conceal an equally extraordinary supernatural identity. By day, he is a respected university professor specializing in advanced mathematics, mathematical physics, and the theoretical structures underlying reality. By night, he operates as the Rune Master, a formidable mystical warrior who commands the ancient power of the Nordic Rune of Fehu.

Alaric's transformation from academic scholar to supernatural protector began when his mathematical research led him toward a discovery that conventional science could not adequately explain: certain ancient runic symbols represented more than language or religious mythology. They encoded mathematical relationships governing the interaction between physical reality and mystical energy.

His investigations eventually brought him into contact with the Rune of Fehu, an ancient supernatural force associated with prosperity, primordial energy, and the power of creation.

The Rune awakened extraordinary abilities within him, transforming his understanding of mathematics, magic, and the universe itself.

Alaric stands approximately 6'2", possessing a tall, athletic, muscular physique. He has short, thick auburn hair, sharp blue eyes, rugged facial features, and a strong jawline. His expression is frequently serious and contemplative, reflecting a mind perpetually engaged in complex calculations.

In his civilian identity, Alaric favors traditional academic clothing: tweed jackets, collared shirts, loosely knotted ties, tailored trousers, and rectangular eyeglasses. His appearance combines the intellectual sophistication of a distinguished scholar with the rugged attractiveness of an unconventional professor.

As the Rune Master, Alaric manifests an imposing suit of enchanted Nordic armor. Dark metallic plates engraved with intricate runic patterns cover his chest, shoulders, arms, and legs. Brilliant crimson runes illuminate the armor, while a dramatic black-and-red cloak flows behind him.

His weapons include a massive enchanted battle axe and an ancient mystical spear, both capable of channeling extraordinary supernatural energy.

When fully empowered, crimson magical currents surround his body, allowing him to levitate, fly, and manipulate the fundamental energies associated with his Rune.

Unlike the Six Aegis Ring Bearers, Alaric does not draw his power from an Aegis Ring. His abilities originate from an independent runic tradition whose connection to the wider Aegis Powers remains mysterious.
