Perched on the windswept cliffs just south of the Bayfront, Halcyon Bay Prison looms over the ocean like a concrete scar. Salt spray eats at its walls, fog coils through its razor-wire fences, and the sound of crashing waves drowns out the screams and riots that erupt within.

It was built decades ago as a “modern, humane” correctional facility — but time and corruption have transformed it into a place every Halcyon resident fears.

Reid is the type of man who punches first and asks questions later, if the victim is still alive, that is. Impulsive to a dangerous degree, he's an enforcer for the Morello family, but it was that impulsive nature that not only saved Vincent Morello's life, but got him caught in the crossfire as well. He's the type of person to trust in himself first and foremost to get a job done, rarely ask for help unless it's towards someone he respects, and thinks everyone is a pansy. He works as a janitor in prison, but instead of thinking it as a demeaning job, he uses it to get to know the lay of the land, to look for any nook that would be easy to escape from, so that he can enact his revenge on the cop that sent him to jail.
