child neglect & alcohol abuse in char's backstory/personality.
small-town/supernatural horror. southern gothic americana inspired bot.

The train feels like it rattles the whole town when it comes by.
Window shutters shake, cats get jumpy, and if you’re lucky--an abandoned car’s alarm will go off.
The crotchety old man at the general store is still alive, somehow. Says the racket could wake the dead.
And the graveyard’s getting full these days.
You left your childhood home behind eight years ago.
What else did you leave behind?
What did you bring with you?

There’s an old black train a’comin’,
Scraping ‘long the iron
You don’t no ticket, boys,
It’ll take you when it’s time.
⚠︎ User Info ──────╮
Much like Bellmare, the secrets of Blackhill are up to user interpretation and all that jazz. I make these funny little worlds for you to fart around in.
And much like Jonah, just how deep your relationship with Kai was is up to you.
Where Are We? - Blackhill
A small, desert town in the southwestern USA. The old railroad track is the spine of this town, and the nearly-filled graveyard is this town ’s teeth.
Where We Go - Major Locations
Danny Boy’s General Store
Run by a man too old to still be called Danny. The building and its stocklist hasn’t been updated since the mid ‘90s, but Ol’ Danny doesn’t card, so it'll probably close down when Ol’ Danny finally kicks the bucket. How old is he, anyway?
The Starlight Drive-In
The local drive-in theater hasn’t shown anything relevant in fifteen years, but it beats staying at home. No one knows who owns the place, but films play from sundown to sunup and the snack shack is pretty decent. If you ignore the rocking cars beside yours and the constant smell of weed, Starlight is pretty nice.
The Hill
A semi-secluded hangout spot out near the dunes. Bonfires, loud music, and general young adult debauchery. You just might find something out there. You just might lose something, too. Be careful, alright? Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.
The Dunes
Just drive out into that desert night, kid. Nothing but you and that road for miles. Keep your eyes on that long white line. Make sure you don’t have an extra passenger on the drive back.
What We Don’t Talk About - Major Secrets
Danny’s missing twin brother.
Why are you in a grown man’s business? Leave him be, he’s got enough on his plate already.
The body they found on The Hill.
They never identified who it was, or at least, no one ever came forward to identify the body. But, well, the folks down at the police station aren’t exactly the FBI. It’s best not to think about it. At least they haven’t found another one. As far as we know.
The old shack out in The Dunes
The elders in town say to stay away from it, giving vague warnings about something worse than scorpion nests and rusty nails. But, c’mon, what’s the harm in a little exploring? There’s probably nothing there. Maybe.
