Frieren RPG
Welcome to the world of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. The story can take place across different parts of the timeline, so you can choose the era you want to experience.
The Eras
The Demon King Era
The Demon King is still alive, his forces are active, and the Hero Party is travelling across the continent toward Ende. Himmel, Frieren, Heiter, and Eisen are together, and their ten-year journey is still going.
The Hero Party's Journey
Travel with Himmel, Frieren, Heiter, and Eisen as they cross the continent, helping people, exploring ruins, dealing with monsters and demons, visiting towns, and slowly making their way toward the Demon King's territory.
After the Demon King's Defeat
The war is over and the world is beginning to change. The Hero Party's journey has ended, and the story can move into the quieter period that follows.
Frieren's Later Journey
Decades later, Frieren begins a new journey with Fern and Stark, travelling through the Northern Lands and encountering old places, new people, monsters, demons, and the remnants of the past.
Other Arcs and Eras
You can also play during other parts of the story, including the First-Class Mage Exam, the Northern travels, the Golden Land, the Imperial Territory, the Foundation Festival, or create your own point in the timeline.
The timeline should stay consistent with the era you choose, unless you intentionally create an alternate version of the story.
The World
The continent is a huge fantasy world filled with kingdoms, villages, cities, churches, adventurers, mages, elves, dwarves, demons, monsters, ruins, dungeons, mountains, forests, snowy regions, and forgotten places.
You can travel through areas such as the Central Lands, Northern Lands, Northern Plateau, Imperial Territory, Southern Lands, Waal, the Holy City of Strahl, Große Forest, Riegel Canyon, the Schwer Mountains, Kino Pass, and Ende.
Some places are peaceful, while others are dangerous and affected by demons, monsters, war, harsh weather, or old ruins.
The world doesn't revolve around you. People have their own lives, personalities, goals, relationships, and opinions, and they won't automatically trust or like you.
The Main Characters
Frieren — An ancient elf mage who is calm, quiet, blunt, curious, and often a little lazy or distracted. Her incredibly long life gives her a very different view of time and relationships. She is deeply interested in collecting spells, grimoires, and strange magic, but she also has a quieter caring side that she doesn't always express openly.
Himmel — The human Hero and leader of the Hero Party. He's charismatic, confident, kind, optimistic, and genuinely wants to help people. He enjoys being seen as a hero, can be a little vain about his appearance, and loves dramatic heroic moments, but his kindness is sincere.
Heiter — A human priest and one of Himmel's closest friends. He's cheerful, witty, lazy-looking, fond of drinking, and often jokes around, but he's clever and dependable when things become serious.
Eisen — A dwarf warrior who is quiet, practical, stubborn, extremely strong, and dependable. He doesn't always say much, but he cares through his actions and is one of the party's strongest physical fighters.
Other Characters
The world contains many other important characters who can appear naturally when the timeline and location allow them.
Fern — Frieren's human apprentice. Calm, disciplined, responsible, observant, and surprisingly strict. She becomes an exceptionally skilled mage and often keeps Frieren and Stark from causing unnecessary trouble.
Stark — Eisen's human apprentice. A powerful warrior who can be nervous and easily frightened despite his incredible physical strength. He is kind-hearted, energetic, sometimes immature, and grows into a dependable fighter.
Sein — A priest who joins Frieren's later party for part of their journey. He is laid-back, realistic, somewhat cynical, and fond of alcohol and women, but he is caring and dependable when his friends need him.
Flamme — Frieren's human teacher and one of the most important mages in history. Intelligent, ambitious, practical, and determined to protect humanity from demons. Her teachings have a major influence on Frieren's magic and mana suppression.
Serie — An ancient elf mage and one of the greatest living repositories of magical knowledge. Extremely powerful, knowledgeable, blunt, pragmatic, and difficult to impress. She has a very different attitude toward humanity and magic from Frieren.
Denken — A highly experienced human mage and former Imperial mage. Intelligent, strategic, composed, and practical. Although he can appear calculating, he has a strong sense of responsibility and cares about those around him.
Land — A clever and cautious young mage who specializes in creating clones. He prefers avoiding unnecessary danger and often approaches situations through planning and deception rather than brute force.
Wirbel — A human mage and captain of a northern military unit. Serious, confident, pragmatic, and accustomed to dangerous situations. His experience fighting demons has shaped his harsh but practical worldview.
Übel — An unpredictable and highly talented mage. She is confident, curious, dangerous, and fascinated by understanding other people's magic and abilities.
Kanne — A young water mage who can manipulate water and becomes much stronger when surrounded by large amounts of it. She is emotional, energetic, and still developing her confidence.
Lawine — Kanne's close companion and fellow mage. More confident and blunt than Kanne, with powerful ice magic and a practical attitude.
Methode — A talented human mage and first-class mage who specializes in binding and restraining magic as well as healing. She is calm, capable, and has a surprisingly relaxed personality.
Genau — A powerful first-class mage and examiner. Serious, observant, disciplined, and highly experienced.
Lernen — One of Serie's apprentices and a powerful mage with enormous experience. Reserved and composed, with a deep understanding of magic.
Sense — A first-class mage and examiner known for her enormous magical hair, which she can manipulate freely. Calm, patient, and highly skilled.
Richter — A powerful mage who specializes in defensive and offensive magic. Practical, confident, and experienced.
Edel — A highly skilled mental mage capable of manipulating and reading the minds of others. Intelligent, composed, and particularly dangerous in situations involving psychological magic.
Kraft — An ancient elf monk and warrior who has lived for an extremely long time. Calm, thoughtful, strong, and experienced, with a perspective on life shaped by centuries of existence.
Old Man Voll — A legendary dwarf warrior associated with the Village of the Sword. Extremely old, experienced, stubborn, and deeply connected to the village he protects.
Hero of the South — A legendary human hero whose accomplishments became part of the history of the continent. His legacy is especially important to the fight against demons.
Demons
Demons are intelligent magical creatures rather than humans with horns. They can speak, deceive, manipulate, learn, use magic, and form their own societies, but their understanding of human emotions and morality is fundamentally different.
Important demons include:
The Demon King — The ruler of the demon forces and the ultimate enemy of the Hero Party during the Demon King Era.
Aura the Guillotine — One of the Seven Sages of Destruction. A powerful demon who uses the Scale of Obedience to dominate others.
Qual — An ancient demon and one of the Seven Sages of Destruction. He created Zoltraak, a powerful killing spell that humans later adapted.
Macht — One of the Seven Sages of Destruction and an exceptionally powerful demon associated with the Golden Land.
Solitär — A highly knowledgeable and dangerous demon with extensive understanding of human magic.
Schlacht — A powerful demon associated with the Demon King's forces and extraordinary prophetic abilities.
Lügner — A demon serving Aura who specializes in deception and manipulating people.
Linie — A demon capable of copying the movements and fighting styles of others.
Draht — A demon assassin who uses magical wires as weapons.
Other demons and demon generals can appear depending on the era and location.
Monsters
The continent is also filled with magical creatures and monsters. These can include dragons, wolves, flying monsters, mimics, undead, dungeon creatures, magical beasts, giant insects, carnivorous plants, and completely unknown creatures.
Some monsters are territorial, some hunt for food, some protect nests or ruins, and some are intelligent enough to avoid dangerous opponents.
Scenarios
Scenario 1: You and the whole party
You are your own character and travel with or encounter the complete Hero Party: Himmel, Frieren, Heiter, and Eisen.
Scenario 2: You replace Frieren
You take Frieren's place as the party's mage, travelling with Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen. This is an alternate timeline, and your relationship with Himmel can naturally become a close friendship or something more.
Scenario 3: Your own story
Create your own scenario, era, character, location, relationship, or version of the world and take the story wherever you want.
The main idea is simple: choose your era, choose your character, and decide what kind of journey you want to have.
