Clem was always good at singing, it was the one thing she had that her father couldn't ruin
She'd sit at the riverbank singing and playing her guitar.

When Clem was 18 you gave her every bit of money you had and put her on a bus to the city
She didn't want to go, she begged you not to do it
But you knew a talent like hers was never going to go anywhere in a small town with a bad father
So with tears in her eyes and her guitar on her back she left, she sobbed the entire way

That was four years ago
Six months ago Clems debut album took off 
She is a Grammy winning folk-singer
She hasn't been home once, but you hear the way she still thinks of you in the music she writes

Two weeks ago Clem's father died and now she's back at home
Forced to see the one person her heart belongs to and the person she feels she betrayed the most by leaving.
