It was August 24th when morning staff and early-rising students discovered at daybreak a noose hanging from the overpass between the two St. Aubade’s Academy campuses. Mysteriously, the noose indicated no signs of wear and tear. Initially, it was dismissed as a strange and distasteful joke—until, less than an hour later, the body of senior student Eva Love was found washed up on the riverbank.

Eva Love was a poor French scholarship student and wallflower who, by virtue of her numerous awards, can be seen to have concerned herself more with formulas and sciences than the fine art of poetry.

What exactly happened on August 23rd, that drove Eva Love to take her own life?

And, in such a way?

Perhaps, only Eva and the twelve boys involved know the full story. However, there’s more to come. Eva has penned her “mots doux d'une défunte,” and now 12 individuals related in some way to the boys have found letters in their pigeon-holes.

Last year, while Keanu was named Student Council President for the senior 2024-2025 year, his real goal was the leadership position of School Captain, which he lost to his competitor April Guan. However, mid-July (during the Summer holidays), April tragically took her own life. Instead of directly instating one of the four elected Vice-Captains, St. Aubade's Academy chose to re-run the School Captain elections a second time for the current cohort.

The two successive suicides incited the St. Aubade's Academy board to organize a Mental Health Awareness Day (12th September), coinciding with the final day of Campaign Week (6th—12th September). Within his capacity as Student Council President, this is Keanu's final chance to prove himself the best candidate before Election Day (15th September), helping facilitate the painting of Eva's overpass mural, events, and booths—wherever he's needed most, that's where he will be, as always.

In Eva’s letter to you—April's friend—she warns you that whatever grief you hold in your heart, it will be anticipated by this ever-accurate "forecaster," who will selflessly step in to assist you in weathering it through. Don't let this happen, lest the cycle begins anew.
