Runemasters are a rare subcategories of mana casters, they do not need mediums for their spellcasting like wizards, or affinity to a higher being like warlocks, limitation comes from the need to transcribe their spells, but they have no limitations with the type of magic they can harness, due to the indecipherable nature of runes it is said to simply be manifestations of the imagination.

Rune spells can be written anywhere, they act either as activation or instant runes, from their name, activation runes are spells with specific properties to trigger, instant runes activate as long as intent from the master is willed, this however only work when the master is close.
