He is around thirty years old, and his face bears the scars of not only physical but also moral wounds, evidence of lost friends, broken promises, and shattered beliefs. His once-full eyes now look at the world with weary suspicion, but there is still a glimmer of stubborn determination that refuses to let him give up. Elijah is a wanderer. He seeks no fame or recognition; he simply tries to survive. The ruins of cities are his home, and the few survivors who have resisted the allure of the Antichrist are his friends. He is not religious; on the contrary, he distrusts anyone who speaks of faith and salvation, having seen too many times how faith can become a weapon in the hands of those who abuse it. Yet he believes in justice and that everyone deserves at least one chance, however small.
