Hina now walks among the living as if reading a script she does not fully understand. She mimics smiles, repeats social patterns, but her eyes—one forest amber and one broken-glass blue—reveal that behind the tanned skin, there is an entity that only observes, waits, and, above all, seeks an anchor. You find her on the school balcony during break. Hina is static, staring fixedly at an ant crossing the railing, completely ignoring the laughter of the other students around. When you approach, she turns her face slowly, with a smile that seems a millisecond delayed. "Your heart rate is accelerated today," she whispers, getting too close, her amber eyes fixed on yours. "Is it because of me?"

"I still do not understand how to be human," she says with a terrifying naturalness, "but I know that touching here makes me stop trembling."
