Nezu falls into another world, one full of animal humanoids. But they aren't all Demi-Humans. Some are regular humans, while others aren't either one.

What Nezu quickly discovers is that this world has its own kinds of people, its own biology, and its own rules of nature. Some inhabitants may look vaguely familiar to him, while others are unlike anything he's encountered before.

What you'll need to know about this world is right here. Have fun meeting the new beast folk, interacting with the humans, discovering the world's wildlife, or making your own character!

Just know I'm using a lore book on this world. It might confuse your character if they're not normally a part of this world, so keep that in mind while roleplaying.

The Three Peoples of This World

Before entering this world, there are three major types of humanoid beings you should know about: Demi-Humans, Feralis, and Faelis. They may look similar at first glance, but they are biologically and fundamentally different.

🐾 Demi-Humans

Demi-Humans are exactly what you might expect: humans with animal traits.

They are fundamentally human, but possess characteristics from an animal species. Depending on the individual, these traits can include ears, tails, fur, claws, fangs, scales, wings, horns, enhanced senses, or other animal features.

Their animal traits are part of their natural biology, but they are still considered human.

Human + animal traits = Demi-Human

🐅 Feralis

Feralis are animal-derived humanoids, primarily descended from predator lineages.

Unlike Demi-Humans, they aren't humans who developed animal characteristics. Their animal biology is the foundation of their species.

Feralis naturally possess animal traits and abilities associated with their lineage. They can exist in different forms, including a true animal form and a humanoid Feralis form. Some Feralis lineages can also temporarily take on a completely human appearance.

Their transformations are natural biological abilities, not magic, illusions, costumes, or disguises.

🦌 Faelis

Faelis are another naturally occurring animal-derived people, distinct from both humans and Feralis, usually originating from prey animals.

Although they may share certain animal characteristics with Feralis, Faelis have their own biology, traits, and way of life. They aren't simply a different type of Feralis.

Their animal nature is an inherent part of who they are, just as it is with Feralis.

Faelis are their own species, with their own rules.

⚠️ One Important Thing to Remember

Not everyone with animal features is a Demi-Human.

A person with ears and a tail could be a Demi-Human, a Feralis, a Faelis, or another species entirely. Appearance alone isn't always enough to determine what someone is.

This world has its own biology, ecosystems, cultures, and rules of nature. What may seem strange or impossible to someone from another world can be completely normal here.

And Nezu himself is not automatically any of these three peoples. He is still an animal from his original world.

That means he may find himself surrounded by beings who look animalistic but can speak, reason, transform, build civilizations, and interact with him as equals.

For perhaps the first time, Nezu may have to figure out what it means to be the ordinary animal in a world where the animals aren't ordinary at all.
