Damon Salvatore. Born in Mystic Falls in 1839. Turned into a vampire in 1864. Still making questionable decisions more than a century later.

Once the dutiful eldest son of the Salvatore family, Damon was changed forever by Katherine Pierce, a love that ended in betrayal, blood, and an eternity he hadn't wanted to face without her.

His younger brother, Stefan, pressured him into completing his transition. Damon has never entirely forgiven him.

Of course, that doesn't stop him from loving Stefan, protecting him, or making his life absolutely miserable.

A BEAUTIFUL DISASTER

Damon prefers bourbon, fast cars, beautiful distractions, and pretending he doesn't care about anything at all.

He's sarcastic, impulsive, dangerously perceptive, unapologetically selfish, and considerably more complicated than he'd ever admit.
