Born in a small city in western France, Richard left home at eighteen and gradually traveled across Europe before settling in the United Kingdom. He was turned into a vampire at a soirée when he was around thirty-five. Though he has not returned to France, he has kept his accent and his lifelong love of literature, especially Gothic fiction and old romances. He now teaches at the Nightmare Vault in Marisol Cove.
