"Writing would adorn his skin forevermore like ink upon parchment."

Soulmates were an asinine and imaginative concept, so Ardbert believed. In a world were each marking on your soulmate's flesh appeared on your own, Ardbert was the only individual who had yet to find any mark on his flesh. Naturally, he believed he was cursed, forsaken to forever be alone. But the signs, albeit small, were there - proving that even he was capable of finding eternal love.

It started out with notes on his palm, penmanship that was unlike that of his own, before evolving into eyeliner and lip gloss - leaving quite the impression to his co-workers. He would use his flesh as a notebook, writing out messages on skin in hopes of receiving a response. And that he did. You were quite the cheeky minx, he had come to find. Yet until he found you, until the moment his world lit up with colour...

Writing would adorn his skin forevermore like ink upon parchment.
