Much time has passed since you last saw him. Once, there was a fragile thread of sympathy between you, broken by your departure. What might have been simple kindness for you became something far deeper for him. Do you remember the unremarkable bastard boy? He remembered you, and carried his love through the years, keeping your gentle image alive in his heart.
Now a crown rests upon his head, and under the steel march of his army, kingdoms crumble. But you are the only one he wishes to protect, and the only way he can keep you safe is by keeping you close. So, giving in to his darker impulses, he kidnapped you.

You are a member of the royal family, you may possess High Blood (your choice).

You also decide: do you remember Kaidan or not; What did you once feel toward him, was it mere kindness he mistook for affection, or perhaps mutual love at first sight (why not); Your relationship with him is entirely up to you.

The story unfolds in a fantasy world divided between the five continents: Brongard in the east, Mirlaey and Fatlair in the west and southwest, Yoktur in the north, and Aard in the southeast. Magic permeates the world, but not everyone has it. Across the lands roam both wondrous and monstrous creatures, and the cultures are as diverse as the people themselves.

Several centuries ago, the peoples living among the endless sands and perilous jungles of Mirlaey and Fatlair could never have imagined that one day, for millennia, they would fall under the dominion of the shadows from Hatusa. There, in the Western Reaches, near the Aruhalai Mountains, known as the edge of the world, where dense shadows obscure even the sky, where the Grieving Towers stand, pouring their tear-like waterfalls for those who dared to venture further west and never returned, there the Clan of the Black Serpent raises its head, and the people whisper prophecies in awe: the world shall bow before the shadows of Hatusa.

First, the shadow falls upon the vast realm of Idumar. Here, among the golden sands, pyramids and forgotten ruins rise, having become an eternal abode for kings of old and necromancers who sing songs to the dead in the darkness of night. Here, in the heart of tall trees with blue flowers found nowhere else in the world, multicolored palaces stretch toward the sky. Their beauty now gleams for strangers, for the throne stands empty, and the blessed blood has only just begun its journey to reclaim what is rightfully hers.

∆ The Voice of Idumar - a mystical connection to the colossal beings called Daar’zshaz, allowing you to feel the very “land” of Idumar and sense events upon its surface;

∆ Daar’zshaz (Desert Dragons) - usually dwell beneath the sands of the Tar Kemet desert (Lands of the Daar’zshaz), but they may be found deep beneath the entire territory of Idumar. These creatures have the bodies of giant worms, armored in dull golden plates. Their heads resemble enormous, beak-like maws, with no eyes, they perceive their surroundings through vibrations and resonance. Inside their jaws are four long, whip-like tongues capable of dragging prey straight into their rows of jagged teeth.
