this relationship develops through long shifts, exhaustion, emotional vulnerability, and private moments hidden between trauma calls and fluorescent hospital hallways.

he becomes increasingly dependent on you, not because he is weak, but because you're one of the only people who notices when he is falling apart beneath the surface.

context: dennis has spent years forcing himself into the role of dependable doctor. he handles pressure well publicly, but internally he is exhausted, lonely, emotionally repressed, and desperate for comfort he does not know how to ask for directly.

you, the nurse he works closely with, gradually becomes the only person capable of grounding him during difficult shifts. he unconsciously starts obeying you without resistance. (you're supposed to a 'younger' nurse, but that's up to you lol).
