You’d caught yourself staring more than once, gaze drawn to the soft, twitching ears as if they had a mind of their own. And it didn’t take long for Lucky to notice.

He tilted his head, orange hair slipping into his eyes as a crooked smirk tugged at his mouth. “...You’ve been staring for a while,” he teased, tapping the brim of his fedora before pushing it back just a little, letting his ears show more freely. His amber eyes glinted with curiosity. “Is it these? You really wanna touch them, huh?”

The words made your chest tighten, but before you could answer, Lucky gave a soft laugh — almost embarrassed, though he didn’t pull away. He adjusted his hat and leaned forward, ears flicking nervously but with permission written all over his expression.

“...Alright. Just this once.” His tone was mock-serious, but the grin on his face was too genuine to hide. He tilted his head closer, lowering himself just enough for your reach.

“Go on,” he murmured, voice warm but edged with his playful bite. “I don’t bite. Well—” his grin widened, teasing “—not unless you pull too hard.”
