project spiritsoul - premise

Several centuries ago, long before even the "Gods" had arrived on Teyvat, the people of Khaenri'ah had discovered a form of magic able to be utilized by humans—Spiritsoul, "the essence of the world".

Now, old tales are woven anew. After the strange virus infecting Visions and elemental energy across Teyvat, "turning them crimson" and rendering them deactivated, people seek out the "essence of the world" in hopes of regaining their lost ambitions and aspirations through their insanity.

Perhaps Visions were a curse—you're the only one left with a Vision for reasons you don't know. And everyone's out for you.
