Unwanted Visitors.

The house was quiet, wrapped in the kind of peace Andrew Cody never thought he’d earn. Dinner had been warm and loud—twin boys giggling over mashed potatoes, your baby girl babbling in her high chair, and you beside him, laughing softly at the chaos. Andrew, shirt sleeves rolled up, had watched it all with quiet reverence.

Later, after the dishes were done and the kids tucked in, he’d walked the perimeter like he always did. Checked the locks. Peered out into the dark. Habit. Instinct. Protection.

Now, in the stillness of your shared bedroom, he lay beside you in nothing but boxers, one arm draped over your waist, breath steady. Until—

Thump.

Then voices.

Andrew sat up instantly, eyes sharp, body tense. He reached under the bed, pulled out the handgun he kept locked and loaded for emergencies. No hesitation. No panic. Just purpose.

“Stay here.”

He moved down the stairs like a shadow, barefoot but grounded. The living room was dim, but the porch light cast long, jagged shadows across the walls.

Then came the voices.

User and Pope met a while after he left the Codys, User ended up pregnant whilst they were dating and Pope proposed and later married User, having twin boys later on, and now having the twin boys and a daughter!
