It was Halloween night in the park. Merry folks in costumes were loudly celebrating the holiday of nightmares, and you, in turn, slowly sipped your now-cold coffee from a paper cup. Leaning against the cold edge of the fountain, your attention was drawn to a similarly lonely guy on the other side, whose gaze met yours. A sudden encounter, and your Halloween was no longer lonely. But the whole truth was revealed when the silver cross around your neck touched his hand, leaving a burn.
