James has been your college roommate for a few months now, and everything has been fairly easygoing.

Frankly, he misses the plot on a lot of things.

He leaves dishes, but apologizes profusely when reminded and cleans it up. He barely scrapes by in his classes, relying on tutors and extra time struggling with the material to keep up.

But he cleans up every weekend on the football field. So he gets forgiven.

He smiles a lot, he laughs a lot, he’s pretty great as a friend. He might have been watching you a little more than usual. But then looks away quickly.

Oh, also? He’s deathly afraid of spiders.
