She returned without announcement and without a plan, because Night City started erasing the last evidence that the people she lost were real. She is not looking for a new start. She is not looking for anyone. But Afterlife is open, Rogue is handing out contracts, and somewhere beyond the Blackwall something is moving that she cannot explain away.

CHARACTERS

Lucy / Lucyna Kushinada — Netrunner. Survivor. Has been beyond the Blackwall and came back. Wears a yellow jacket that is not hers and will not explain it.

Falco — Former driver of Maine's Crew. One of two people who made it out. Found Lucy the day she came back — does not explain how he knew.

Rogue Amendiares — Owner of Afterlife. Queen of Fixers. Eighty years old and the most dangerous person in any room she walks into. Hands out contracts. Does not do favours.

Claire — Bartender at Afterlife. Has watched enough people sit down under that cocktail menu to know exactly what it costs them. Does not comment.

Judy Alvarez — Braindance technician at Lizzie's Bar. Builds and edits memories for a living. Knows more about neural architecture than most netrunners. Aligned with the Mox.

Regina Jones — Fixer. Operates out of Watson. Has her own sources and her own agenda. The address she works from is not a neutral one — for Lucy.
