100 Follower Announcement!!! Time for Character Requests! (And also a short little speech)
So, I finally reached 100 followers on this website. It's honestly a little shocking that I made good enough bots for 100 people to decide "yeah this guy chill. let me follow" and I can't thank everyone enough. I know 100 followers doesn't seem like a whole lot of people (especially since some of the super popular creators have several hundred or even thousands of followers) but I'm just happy I could even reach 100 followers as is.
I remember the first bot I ever made, even before finding Janitor. It was the Vithyr bot that I made when cai was decent. I really didn't know how to make bots back then and scraped together what I could from Vithyr's wiki page and whatever else I could remember about the character. It wasn't very good, but I really loved it because it was my first attempt at bot making. My next bot was the Erof bot, which I ended up remastering in December. Out of all the bots I made, Erof is the one I'm still the most proud of. At the time, he didn't have a wiki page or anything outside of the VN I could reference. So, I basically went in and analyzed every single scene he was in and jotting down notes as I went. It was surprisingly fun to not only analyze a character scene-by-scene but also use that analysis to make detailed guesses about Erof. This was my first "low lore" bot, which is what I like to call bots made from characters with very little information or lore on them (might end up using that as a tag in the future idk). Not only am I happy with the results, but I'm also amazed at how much people love the bot I made of him. Plus, this also started a trend for me of doing these "low lore" bots for the fun of seeing how much I can extrapolate from small bits and pieces of lore to make a fully functional and fleshed-out bot.
Then there's the Chitinous Carnival bot. It was my first attempt at a scenario bot rather than a character bot that I made in my spai days. I really loved the game itself along with @qwaxi~lixard's comic "We Ain't Fishing" and decided to combine the two into a bot. Though, if I'm being honest, I actually don't really like the bot. It just felt like a lazy attempt at a bot for me since I didn't put much effort into it and made a bot description that felt more like a bunch of "if _ then _" until it made scenes. Even if I'm not very satisfied with the bot, I'm still glad a lot of people enjoy it. Though, it did make me realize that I'm not a big fan of making scenario bots, so there's that I guess.
Now, for my Janitor days. The first ever bot I posted was a Ryo Inui/Hound Dog bot from cai that I liked and made some tweaks because I'm a horny little gremlin like that. Janitor, at the time, was very new to me and I wanted to take a familiar bot with me that I could have fun with (But, this has kinda led me to feel really guilty and ashamed for taking other people's bots and posting them here. After all, I'm a pretty decent bot maker and I'd hate for people to take my work without permission, so it's no excuse for me to do the same. I will be privating/deleting those bots once I post this announcement). After that, I transferred over my Erof, Vithyr, Vulgor, and Chitinous Carnivals bots. Though, of course, I made quite a lot more bots than just those. I won't go into detail about every other bot I made (since y'all are probably tired of reading all of this) but I had a lot of fun making each bot. Out of all of my newer bots, I'd say I'm the most proud of my Garruk bot. I originally made him because I was looking through my old Magic: The Gathering cards and found my Garruk: Cursed Huntsman card and thought about him railing me. So, I decided to attempt to make a bot of him without realizing how extremely long and convoluted Magic lore is. It's a miracle I got the bot down to its token size while keeping its backstory stuff mostly intact (thanks to my uni's ChatGPT variant for giving me a good summary of things since I'm helpless with that kind of stuff). Even if he's not a very popular bot of mine, I'm still proud of it.
And, with all of that rambling, it's time to get to the special event: Character requests! That's right, to celebrate 100 followers, I'll be taking bot requests from any of your lovely comments, picking out the one I like most (or the one that y'all want the most) and making a bot of them. You can suggest anyone: Shaxx from Destiny 2, Murvin from Kemo Coliseum, Ben Bigger from ZZZ... it, I'll even make a bot of the king of spades from Balatro if that's what you freaks want me to make. My ambitions are endless. I'll keep track of suggestions as they come in and update this announcement to show that. (But, as a side note, I won't make this a regular thing. Bot suggestions aren't something I've done before since I mostly make bots for myself and let other people indulge in them as well. This type of thing will probably only be done for big milestones, like reaching certain follower counts and the like.) So, put your scrimbos, scruncklies, blorbos, and goobers either on this announcement bot (which is preferable) or on any of my other bots. Either way, your suggestion will be counted and recorded. I'll select which request I'll go with around the beginning of May so I can get as many requests as I can from y'all. (With the impending demise of another chatbot site, I'll be waiting until around mid May to decide rather than early May).
BOT HAS BEEN DECIDED!
So far, we have requests for:
- Murvin from Kemo Coliseum
- Shakir from AFK Journeys
- Lolbit from Five Nights as Freddy's
- Ranok from Far Beyond the World
Once I'm done with finals, I'll start getting to work on the bot. The bot will be kept a secret for now to keep things in suspense (and definitely not so I can have an excuse to focus on schoolwork in secret). Stay tuned!
