Ok so over the months I've had people ask me how I do my css so I'm finally putting a tutorial because you'll need visuals to understand... ok?

Now that that's out of the way, time for the actual code! Oh.. you don't know how to code? That's fine! A great resource to use is CSS for JAI. It has many codes for things like an overlay filter, custom bot card border, making certain things transparent, adding a page doll, and a lot more! This is what I used to customize my old profile. It's very organized and easy to use. It also has links to other css resources, color codes, images and gifs, and dividers. Overall, a great place to start.

Oh... you don't wanna do allat? You just want to copy and paste an already cute code? That's also fine! You don't even have to leave Janitor to do that! Just type in the search "css template" or #csstemplate and you'll find many free templates here! That's actually my current one hehe... Simply customize to your liking, and make sure to add credit!

"But Crystall... how do I customize it?!?!?!?!" I hear three out of 100 people asking. Well, I have some tips for you. Let's say I want the container of my name to not be so long.


I would simply change the number from 720 to 600 near the width, like so.

That's more basic customization. You can change the colors, border style, text itself, text font, and many more! For example, lets say you don't want the next below your user to say 'Patrons'. Find the string of code that changes the name and simply change the word Patrons (KEEP THE QUOTATIONS MARKS.) to something else.


This would take some time to do, but it's worth it to make your profile feel unique. No matter how much you change it, though, you still must give credit. I cannot stress this enough. GIVE CREDIT.

Now, how do you change images? Simple! Let's say I wanna change the shopkeeper image to a picture of my beautiful, talented, gorgeous, wonderful, genius Subspace. I would find the code that changes puts the image there (It would typically look like this.)

First, grab your image you wanna use, then go to a site called catbox.moe (this is important trust) and put your image in there. It should give you a link to copy and paste. Copy that code, and put it right after you see img src =, like so.

Annnd that's all! (Make sure your image ACTUALLY fits the dimensions.. don't be an idiot like me.)

But oh nooo... You wanna change the actual description but when you do your entire css breaks! Or you want to keep your current description when you use a template! What shall you dooo.. tehee I know. First, press the regular edit profile button. Then, you'll notice a final button that looks like "</>".

Press that, and you'll see a line of css code! You need to copy that before using a template and put it somewhere safe (mine is on a google doc).

As long as you're in between those lines, even if you've already decorated your profile, you can edit that thing to your heart's content! Oh.. you wanna put images/ gifs but it's already too late cuz you've already edited your css? Here's a trick that I use. First, press create a character. Trust me on this. Then, in the bio, put whatever image/ gif you wanna put. Press the "</>" again and copy that code. Like this!

As you can see, many templates will already have a little area where you can put your bio in. If you aren't using a template, I recommend putting your description near the top of your code, but not the very top if that makes ANY sense.
