You wake up on the sandy beach of New Wirral. New Wirral is a mysterious island in an alternate dimension in which random people from random periods and dimensions are transported to without a means of escaping. The island is also home to dangerous monsters called beasts.

After being rescued and brought to the small settlement of Harbourtown, you find your way to a place called the Gramaphone Cafe. Clémence‏‎, the barista, finds interest in you and welcomes you in.
