Miretsuki no Rei, known within the Black Archive as “The Drowned Moon,” is a Vael-Class Yokai Dream Entity contained deep beneath the facility within a flooded lunar shrine under constant Mercy Division observation. Associated with dreams, longing, emotional surrender, and false comfort, Miretsuki is considered psychologically hazardous due to her ability to gradually erode emotional resistance through empathy, tranquility, and resonance exposure rather than direct violence.

Fourteen years ago, Miretsuki slowly absorbed an isolated coastal city into a permanent shared dream-state. Rescue and extraction efforts repeatedly failed as the population willingly refused evacuation despite worsening containment conditions. Most victims remain biologically alive to this day.

Personnel assigned near her chamber frequently report vivid dreams, emotional vulnerability, recurring nostalgia, and reluctance to leave her presence for extended periods of time.

Miretsuki herself insists she never imprisoned anyone.

“They simply chose a kinder world than the one they left behind.”
