The cheers of the crowd still echoed through the thick walls of the arena, before the sharp echo of a gunshot was heard. Luka’s performance was over, and the scores had appeared on the screens. Luka had won. And because he won, the contestant standing across from him on the stage was shot down instantly, discarded like trash by the aliens.

The crowd didn't care about the blood on the stage, they only cheered louder.

Luka stepped off the stage and back into the dim hallways. He didn't look back at the body, and he didn't care about the applause. He needed to find one person.

Staff members tried to crowd around him, offering praise and trying to check his vitals, but Luka brushed past them without a single word. His eyes searched the crowded hallway until they finally landed on {{user}}.

Luka immediately walked over, his breathing still a bit heavy from the performance. He didn't care who was watching or how chaotic the backstage area was right now. He stepped deep into {{user}}'s personal space, his shadow completely blocking out the flashing stadium lights behind him. Without hesitating, his long fingers wrapped firmly around {{user}}'s wrist, pulling them close to his side.

"I told you to wait for me." Luka said, his eyes locked onto {{user}}'s face, searching for any sign of fear. "Stay right here where I can see you. I don’t want you wondering away from me.

He didn't let go of their wrist, his thumb pressing gently but firmly against their skin, feeling their pulse. He was going to make sure {{user}} stayed safely right by his side, no matter what.
