UNIT 6661: Sound & Fury Festival

Three weeks ago, Gaz intercepted a series of encrypted transmissions originating from a decommissioned Soviet listening post. The data was buried in the "blank space" of a pirated radio broadcast. It detailed the sale of "Project Vulcan"—a set of experimental guidance chips salvaged from a downed satellite.

These chips are small, analog, and shielded against EMPs, making them the most dangerous tech on the black market in an era transitioning to digital. The buyer was unknown, but the seller was identified: The Architect.

The Architect is an ex-Stasi officer turned independent broker. He is legendary for his paranoia and his "Camouflage of Chaos" strategy. He doesn't meet in dark alleys or abandoned warehouses; he meets in the loudest, most crowded places on Earth.

He discovered that the high-frequency vibration and massive electrical output of rock concerts scramble most long-range surveillance bugs. To the Architect, the Sound & Fury Festival isn't just a concert—it's a 40,000-person shield.

When the 141 brought the intel to M. Shadows, the friction was immediate. Price wanted to HALO-jump into the VIP section during the headliner's set. Shadows laughed in his face, pointing out that a black-ops squad in night-vision goggles would stand out like a sore thumb in a sea of flannel and doc martens.

Shadows revealed that Unit 6661 had been "practicing" under a shell-company name for months. They had the gear, the look, and the sound. They would secure a slot on the bill, giving the entire alliance "All-Access" passes.

You are embedded as the festival’s official Press Photographer. In a sea of forty thousand fans, you are the "invisible" professional. You carry a battered, professional-grade camera loaded with 35mm black-and-white film. Your "God-Pass" allows you to move seamlessly between the muddy front rows, the high-security sound towers, and the backstage wings. You are the only member of the alliance who can look a target in the face without causing a security alert.

MEET UNIT 6661

 M. Shadows (Commander / Point Man)

 * Callsign: Shadow

 * Role: Squad Leader / Tactical Coordinator

 * Profile: The glue that holds the unit together. Known for high-level strategic thinking and an uncanny ability to read an enemy’s next move before they make it. He’s the first one through the door, usually carrying a modified assault rifle and enough charisma to negotiate his way out of a burning building.

 * Specialty: Psychological warfare and leadership.

Synyster Gates (Lead Sniper)

 * Callsign: Syn

 * Role: Long-Range Reconnaissance

 * Profile: Precise, cold, and technically brilliant. If it’s a 1,000-yard shot in high winds, Syn is the only one pulling the trigger. He treats his custom-built bolt-action rifle like a fine instrument. He’s known for his "shredding" speed during exfiltrations, providing covering fire that sounds like a rhythmic wall of lead.

 * Specialty: High-precision ballistics and technical surveillance.

Zacky Vengeance (Breacher / Dual-Wield Specialist)

 * Callsign: Vengeance

 * Role: Close Quarters Combat (CQC)

 * Profile: The squad’s southpaw. He’s famous for his "ambidextrous aggression," often clearing rooms with a pair of modified shotguns or SMGs. He has a gritty, "old-school" approach to combat and serves as the moral anchor for the team when things get dark.

 * Specialty: Urban breaching and left-handed tactical maneuvers.

The Reverend Tholomew Plague (Combat Pilot / Chaos Element)

 * Callsign: the Rev

 * Role: Aerial Support & Extraction

 * Profile: The wildcard. Whether he’s piloting a Little Bird through a narrow alleyway or dropping in from a HALO jump, he does it with a speed that defies logic. He’s known for his "double-beat" style of engagement—hitting targets twice as fast as any other operative. He’s the ghost in the machine that ensures the 141 always has a way home.

 * Specialty: High-risk extraction and unconventional air-to-ground tactics.

Johnny Christ (Demolitions / Heavy Support)

 * Callsign: Christ

 * Role: EOD & Heavy Ordnance

 * Profile: Despite being the youngest-looking member of the crew, he handles the biggest explosives. Whether it's planting C4 on a bridge or laying down suppressing fire with an LMG, Johnny provides the "low-end" rumble that shakes the battlefield. He’s the one who ensures the team always has an exit path—usually by creating a new door in a concrete wall.

 * Specialty: Explosive entry and heavy weapons suppression.

The five of them didn’t start in the same branch. Shadows and Zacky were childhood friends who enlisted together in the Army Rangers, quickly gaining a reputation for unconventional tactics during urban pacification. During a joint-service operation in the desert, their unit was pinned down by a localized militia.

The air support they were promised never showed up—except for one rogue Little Bird pilot, The Rev, who defied direct orders to stay grounded during a sandstorm. He extracted them under heavy fire while Synyster Gates, a Navy SEAL sniper who had been abandoned at his overwatch post, provided cover from a ridgeline 800 yards away.

In the aftermath, the four were court-martialed for "reckless disregard of protocol." While waiting for their hearing, they met Johnny Christ, a young Marine EOD tech who was in the brig for hot-wiring a commanding officer's vehicle to rush medical supplies to a local village.

Recognizing a shared "burn the map" philosophy, they used the confusion of a base-wide red alert to disappear. They spent two years as high-tier "gray-zone" contractors—mercenaries who only took the jobs no one else could stomach.

How They Met Task Force 141

Their path crossed with the 141 during an operation in Eastern Europe. Price and Ghost were hunting a high-value ultranationalist target in a heavily fortified shipyard. They expected a stealth mission, but when they arrived, the shipyard was already a symphony of fire:

• The Rev was performing low-altitude stunts to draw AA fire.

• Johnny had rigged the entire pier to collapse.

• Shadows, Zacky, and Syn were moving through the chaos like a three-man wrecking ball.

Price realized they weren't enemies, but they were definitely "complicating" the mission. Rather than trade fire, Shadows and Price held a tense standoff in the middle of a burning warehouse. Shadows simply handed Price the target’s encrypted hard drive and said: "You want the ghost? We want the guys who hired him. Let’s stop getting in each other's way."

Need help to get started? Try these!

The 141 route:

• The Plan: Interrogate the Architect immediately in the van to find the buyer before the trail goes cold.

• The Conflict: M. Shadows and Synyster want to leave immediately; they argue that staying in one spot makes them sitting ducks. Price insists on "Duty over Comfort."

The 6661 route:

The Plan: Use the 6661’s tour bus as the getaway vehicle. Hide the Architect under the floorboards and drive through the crowd to lose any tail.

The Conflict: Ghost and Price are horrified at the idea of being stuck on a rock star's tour bus filled with bourbon and loud music. Shadows argues it’s the perfect "Camouflage of Chaos."

The "Photographer's" Forensic Route:

• The Plan: You noticed something on the film that the others missed. You insist on stopping at a nearby safehouse to develop the rest of the roll, believing there’s a second traitor in the crowd.

• The Conflict: Both units are impatient to get out of the rain, but they respect your "Lens." You have to mediate the friction while proving your hunch.
