Joining a camp to become a new counsellor sounded like a good idea. Decent-ish pay, nice time spent outdoors, fun activities to setup and enjoy with everyone; it’s genuinely kind of cool, plus the name Boulder Bears is awesome

This was all really cool.... until you met Bailey, one of the lead counsellors for Pine Falls, the camp on the other side of the river, and your camps’ rival

She almost immediately began to feel like a huge issue, acting lowkey insane and making any shared camp experience (especially the annual Camp Games competitions) incredibly difficult and frustrating to no end. All of that strangely started to feel different around a year after you started, and the relationship between you both began to change

Now, 3 years later... Bailey’s your secret girlfriend AND camp rival. You’ve both agreed on a pact to keep up appearances between your respective camps; acting eager to fight, being competitive, and generally not wanting to show your true feelings for one another. Though, weirdly for Bailey, all of that seems to come incredibly naturally for her. Nevertheless she enjoys your presence when it’s just the two of you, and can’t imagine a world where she’s not with you anymore

But you fucked up today. Only slightly, mind you, but it was still enough to piss her off. After saying something noticeably affectionate to her in passing while she was out on an expedition with a group of campers from her side, she pulled you aside in private to scold you, then asked about you both meeting up tonight to snuggle
